Enhancing Collaboration

Introduction of Bi-Monthly NINCo general update meetings

Welcome to the cornerstone of NINCo's collaborative endeavours: our monthly and bimonthly meetings. These gatherings stand as pivotal moments where members converge to propel our collective mission forward. Through structured discussions, updates, and strategising, we harness the collective wisdom and expertise of our diverse membership to advance quality improvement initiatives in primary healthcare across Australia. Join us as we delve into the heart of NINCo's collaborative spirit and chart a course towards transformative change.

Bi-monthly NINCo Meetings

To enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of NINCo's operations, Bi-monthly meetings are being introduced for all members. These meetings, held in addition to the existing monthly Stream meetings, serve as a centralized platform for comprehensive updates and collaborative discussions. The bimonthly meetings will cover a range of topics,

  • General updates on NINCo activities

  • An overview of NINCo aims and objectives for newcomers to PHNs,

  • Progress reports from the Stream meetings with insights into their current and future priorities,

  • Update on QI-related resources and how to access them,

  • Updates on education and training opportunities

  • Updates on opportunities for participation in the Stream activities.

  • Opportunities to collaborate and consult on broader QI activities.

  • Opportunities to promote results PHN staff have achieved through QI activities.

Additionally, these meetings offer a platform to showcase and celebrate the results achieved by PHN staff through their QI initiatives, fostering a culture of recognition and shared learning across the network. By providing a structured forum for communication and collaboration, the bimonthly meetings aim to streamline NINCo's work processes, promote transparency, and facilitate collective progress towards improving healthcare quality.

Monthly Stream Meetings

NINCo's stream meetings will continue to serve as essential forums for collective action and progress on our collaborative initiatives. During these meetings, members will work together to advance the initiatives outlined in their respective work plans, ensuring a concerted effort towards quality improvement in primary healthcare. Members are encouraged to actively engage in stream meetings and contribute to the implementation of work plans to achieve common goals and objectives. Members are also urged to maintain membership to only one stream where their interests align and can be actively engaged given their own work commitments.

Members who are able to actively contribute to the implementation of work plans are welcome to join the stream meeting sessions, while those who prefer to stay informed about the progress can opt to attend the bi-monthly meetings for updates. Additionally, members have the flexibility to engage in both stream meetings and bi-monthly meetings, offering diverse perspectives and expertise to drive meaningful change. Our collaborative ethos empowers members to contribute in various ways, from engaging in discussions and sharing best practices to providing valuable feedback and addressing specific challenges. Through this approach, we aim to enhance collaboration, accelerate progress, and achieve NINCo's core objectives for advancing quality improvement in primary healthcare.

To facilitate the smooth functioning of the meetings, we request the members to fill out this survey to provide an opportunity to express their interest and ability to actively engage in the working of NINCo. Additionally, members can indicate their preference for remaining involved with NINCo at a broader level by attending the bi-monthly meetings.
